The pleasant aroma of the dish is one of the greatest factors that make it different from other snack variants. The truffle scented fries will also be one of the best starter dishes to order along with the Chinese soup delicacies at the alfresco bars in Singapore.

It is quite easy to prepare truffle scented fries at home. You need very few ingredients to make this dish. 3 pounds of russet potatoes are required as the key ingredient. These should be peeled and cut into small strips, each of a uniform size. You also need 1tbsp truffle oil.

The preparation is quite simple if you have a microwave oven. You should place paper towels over 2 baking sheets. Now place the potato strips on one of the paper towels in order to keep it dry. Add a small amount of peanut oil to a large deep pot. Heat the pot to about 300F. Add a small amount of potato strips and fry it for about 3 minutes. Now remove the strips to the paper towels and add another batch of potato strips.

Once the entire strips of potatoes are fried, you should heat the oil to 360F and then place the fried potatoes in the oil once again in batches. Fry till the strips turn golden brown and then remove to another baking sheet which is lined by paper towels. Once the oil is removed to a good extend, transfer the strips to a plate, add the truffle oil, and salt to taste. The truffle scented fries can now be served in an attractive plate. You can dip the fries in tomato sauce to enjoy it to the fullest.
